Herne Bay Primary Care Children's Service. Providing Extra Support for Children & Families in Herne Bay
WHO ARE WE ? - A friendly service offering longer appointments and joined up care for children and families.
WE CAN HELP WITH........ Support with ongoing infections or illness concerns. Behavioural concerns affecting health. Unsettled babies/infants. Advice & reassurance for worried parents. Help with referrals. Support for families needing frequent GP/UTC/A&E visits.
OTHER INFORMATION : We can asses and prescribe for non-urgent conditions. We can offer both telephone or face to face appointments depending on what you need. We offer longer appointments with time to talk things through.

STRESS BUSTERS - A cognitive behavioural anxiety coping skills group for adults 18+ and run by our Mental Health Practitioner from The Heron Medical Practice and The Park Surgery.
What is it? - A group that we are running to help people cope with their emotions and behaviours related to: General worries, irritability, anxious responses while displaying poor coping skills to stressful situations.
Who is it for? - This group is for adults 18 years plus who would like to learn:
- Skills to deal with emotions and to develop helpful behavioural responses.
- Techniques to deal with tricky social situations
- How to relax
- How to feel good about yourself – develop coping skills
Additional information : This is a six week programme with each session lasting around 90 mins which is completely free of charge.
Referral Information : Please speak to a member of staff at your GP practice who can arrange a referral.
KEEP TALKING SERVICES working in collaboration with Herne Bay PCN for the patients in Herne Bay.
What are we ? - A telephone befriending service for individuals struggleing with mental health issues and lonliness.
What to expect...... Enjoy weekly 1-1 friendly phone calls from a dedicated volunteer and scheduled at a time which suits you best. There is no time limit, we are here as long as you need us. and we can signpost to other services if neccessary. The service is free of charge and we will call you.
Our service is for...... Adults 18+ and above. Specifically designed for individuals experiencing lonliness and poor mental health including suicidal ideation and self-harm.
We have one objective and that's to KEEP TALKING
